Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it is used, and the limited circumstances in which others may receive it. By using this website, you agree to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies the result. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email may be retained so our team can respond. We do not disclose the message outside our organization unless the law requires us to do so.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the servers automatically receive certain technical details:

  • Your device type and operating system
  • The referring site, when one is available
  • Your browser type and version
  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show, in aggregate, which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers assist with that measurement. You may block cookies through your browser, although doing so can change how parts of the site function.

What We Do With This Data

  • Tracking down and fixing technical issues
  • Showing ads that may line up with your interests
  • Routing search requests to the selected partner service
  • Operating the site and maintaining reasonable load times
  • Understanding which pages are useful and which need improvement

No Court-Record Data on File

No database of court dockets or personal case-record information is hosted, maintained, compiled, or sold here. The site provides general directions to Osage County records held by the Clerk of the District Court, Kansas District Court, municipal courts, and Kansas Case Search. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is never assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the selected partner's privacy policy, including its retention and disclosure rules. Review that policy before running a query because we do not control those practices.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Clerk of the District Court, Kansas court portals, legal-aid resources, or outside search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.

Some advertising partners may measure activity across websites to select targeted ads. That processing occurs on their systems.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Information may nevertheless be disclosed to:

  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
  • Analytics providers that measure traffic and site performance
  • Search partners that process a query you submit

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service is completely secure, however, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

This website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, it will be deleted.

Your Data Rights

Applicable Kansas privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights. The Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 through 45-221, and Kansas Supreme Court Rule 22 govern access to public government and electronic court records, not private visitor data held by this website. At a minimum, you may:

  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
  • Ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available on this page with an updated effective date, so review it periodically for changes.
